- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- 2 Pounds of Medium or Large Peeled and Deveined Shrimp
- Zest and Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1 Tablespoon of Minced Garlic
- 8 Tablespoons of Butter
- Wooden or Metal Skewers
- Basting Brush
Note that if you’re using wooden skewers, you must soak them in water for 30 minutes before placing them on the grill, or they could burn.
The first thing you will want to do to make the grilled shrimp is to oil your grill and preheat it to medium-high heat. You will then want to skewer three to four shrimp on the skewers of your choice. Next, you will melt eight tablespoons of butter in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. The next step will be to stir in about 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and one tablespoon of minced garlic. Over medium heat, stir the glaze for about a minute or until the garlic starts to brown. Remove from heat.
Using a basting brush, brush both sides of the shrimp with the glaze and then spring one tablespoon of Italian Seasoning on all the shrimp. Be sure not to use all the glaze as you will want to use some of the glaze after the shrimp have been grilled. Grill both sides of the shrimp for five to eight minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and begins to brown. You will then drizzle the remaining glaze over the shrimp.
