When you’re cruising around Morristown in your new Hyundai, the last thing you want to think about is the possibility of something going wrong. As unfortunate as the situation would be, you don’t need to worry if something goes wrong with your new car – Hyundai’s extended bumper-to-bumper warranty has you covered. Let’s take a look at everything this industry-leading warranty covers.
What’s Included
To start, the warranty lasts for five years or up to 60,000 miles – whichever comes first. This beats out the industry standard of three years or 36,000 miles by a long shot.
If a manufacturer-approved part is in need of repair, this bumper-to-bumper warranty will cover it. This includes, but isn’t limited to, body sheet metal, the air conditioner, the electrical system, the audio system, paint, and radio. Additionally, the warranty also comes with free Hyundai 24-hour Roadside Assistance for the first five years you own the car, regardless of the miles you’ve put on it. If you need help with a dead battery, flat tire, lockout, or refueling, Hyundai has your back. And, if you sell the car before your five years are up, this perk will transfer to the new owner.
What’s Not Included
There isn’t much that isn’t covered by the warranty, and most everything that isn’t covered by the warranty will be covered in Hyundai’s Complimentary Maintenance, which comes with every new 2020 Hyundai model. Let’s dig into that.
The extended warranty won’t cover routine maintenance unless it’s related to a warrantable repair, and it won’t cover vehicles that have been flooded or otherwise harmed by weather forces, modified/altered, or improperly maintained. Tires are not covered under this warranty, those are under a separate warranty by the tire manufacturer.
Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance
As we’ve mentioned, routine maintenance and general wear and tear aren’t included in this warranty, but they are covered in the Hyundai Complimentary Maintenance plan that comes with every new 2020 Hyundai vehicle. With this plan, you’ll receive free oil and filter changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections, Hyundai Genuine Oil filters, and Hyundai Recommended Oil. This generous plan lasts for three years or 36,000 miles – whichever comes first.
